0001 Source / view / key / metadata, clean room
- Status: accepted (2026-10-29)
Context
Section titled “Context”An earlier proprietary prototype proved a model: authors write HTML with custom elements that carry the answers; a compiler turns it into a public view, a private answer key and metadata; grading happens where the key is.
Decision
Section titled “Decision”Keep that model and its proven ideas (visibility allow-list, HMAC opaque ids, keyed permutation, slots and scoring groups, string answers, conformance fixtures). Implement everything fresh from this repository's specs: no code, tests or fixtures are copied from other projects.
Consequences
Section titled “Consequences”- The model is familiar and battle-tested; the implementation is clean and openly licensable (Apache-2.0).
- Known weaknesses of the prototype are fixed by design: one isomorphic engine instead of two graders, one manifest per type instead of 3-4 restated schemas, versioned formats, i18n and RTL from day one, pages first-class.
- Amended 2026-10-29: UI and content languages are Polish and English; right-to-left languages are out of scope for now.
